The Drum

ANDREA ROBERTSON

ANDREA ROBERTSON
Andrea Robertson grew up in a small West Virginia town surrounded by too many old folks and plants to grow up to be anything other than a writer. Her stories are magical realist tales of anomie and tenacity –of a culture rooted in the past and struggling against the present. Her work has appeared in Ghost Town and Panhandler and Tacenda. Currently, she teaches English as a Second Language at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro, where she lives with her fiancé, Ted, her cat, and an ever-expanding collection of plants.

Her short story "The Greenbriar Ghost" appears in the April 2014 issue of The Drum.
