TESS TAYLOR
Tess Taylor grew up in El Cerrito, California, attended Berkeley High School, and Amherst College. She holds degrees in writing from New York University and Boston University. Her inaugural chapbook The Misremembered World was selected by Eavan Boland and published by the Poetry Society of America. Since then, her work has appeared in The New Yorker, The Academy of American Poets, The New York Times, and other venues.The San Francisco Chronicle called her first book, The Forage House,“stunning” and it was a finalist for the Believer Poetry Award. Tess serves on the board of the National Book Critics Circle and is on-air poetry reviewer for NPR’s All Things Considered. She was most recently professor of English and creative writing at Whittier College.

Her work, along with an interview with Poetry Editor Kirun Kapur, appears in the July 2016 issue of The Drum.
