FREDERICK SPEERS

Frederick Speers’ first book of poems, So Far Afield (Nomadic Press 2017) has been nominated for a 2018 Lambda Literary Award. He is the founding editor of Jam Tarts Literary Magazine, and the first recipient of the Fitzpatrick/Thoreau Fellowship from the Vermont Studio Center. Fred’s poems have appeared or are forthcoming in AGNI; Salamander Magazine; The Straddler; Ofi Press Magazine; Diode Poetry Journal; Forklift, Ohio; and Visible Binary. He lives in Denver, Colorado with his husband and their Jack Russell Terrier.

His poems "Deerskull," "Interlude Blues," and "Star Jasmine" appear in the February 2018 issue of The Drum. "Interlude Blues" was originally published by Forklift, Ohio, under the title "from Torch Songs."
