MICHAEL KULA

Michael Kula is a graduate of the MFA program in Creative Writing at Emerson College and is currently Assistant Professor of Writing Studies at the University of Washington, Tacoma. His short fiction has appeared in literary magazines including MidAmerica, Porcupine, Reconstructions, and The Mars Hill Review. He has recently completed his first novel, The Good Doctor, an historical novel based on the true story of Dr. David Roberts, one of the wealthiest and most respected veterinarians of the early 20th century.

The prologue from The Good Doctor appears in the October 2011 issue of The Drum.
