ALEXANDRA JOHNSON
Alex Johnson is the author of The Hidden Writer (Doubleday) winner of the PEN/Jerard Award for Nonfiction. Susan Sontag wrote, “The Hidden Writer marks the emergence of a strong independent voice.” She is also the author of Leaving a Trace (Little, Brown) and Stolen Hours (forthcoming.) Her writing has appeared in: O (Oprah) Magazine, The New Yorker, The New York Times Book Review, The Nation, Ms Magazineand in numerous anthologies. Her books have been featured extensively on NPR, including “Talk of the Nation.” She has taught writing and creative nonfiction at Harvard, Wellesley and is currently on the MFA faculty of Lesley University.
