VANESSA TARDIFF
Vanessa Tardiff grew up in Maine where her mother called balmy evenings, “Brookline Nights.” Tardiff moved to 02446 as an adult and discovered that Coolidge Corner lived up to her mother’s high praise. She fell in love with the neighborhood and, if she could, Tardiff would move permanently into Brookline Booksmith. Although the central character of “Brookline Nights” is loosely based on Tardiff's mother, her actual mother is alive, well, and very supportive of her writing. "Brookline Nights" was one of our two picks for the October round of Zip-Code Stories.
