DAPHNE KALOTAY
Daphne Kalotay is the author of the novel Russian Winter (HarperCollins), which was a finalist in the James Jones First Novel competition and is being published in 19 foreign translations. Her first book, the story collection Calamity and Other Stories (KnopfDoubleday), was short-listed for the 2005 Story Prize. A MacDowell fellow who has also received fellowships from the Christopher Isherwood Foundation and Yaddo, Daphne holds an MA in Creative Writing and a PhD in Modern & Contemporary Literature, both from Boston University, and has taught literature and creative writing at BU, Skidmore College, Grub Street, and Middlebury College.
