JACKSON CULPEPPER

Jackson Culpepper grew up in the South and is just fine being stuck with it. His work struggles with the contradictions of the region–pastoral beauty versus violence, community versus religiosity–to find that while these struggles are everywhere, they are more visible in the South and in its stories. His work has appeared in Rock & Sling and Armchair/Shotgun. He lives in east Tennessee with his wife, two dogs, and two horses.

His story "The Last Thing To Go" appears in the February 2013 issue of The Drum.
